The Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation's mission is to assist in the securing and staging of statewide, regional, national, and international sporting competitions and special events for the Greater Baton Rouge Area, thereby having a positive economic impact on our community.

Over the past 14 years the Sports Foundation has used honesty, character, and integrity to assist local and national governing bodies with hosting events. These qualities have led to BRASF and its partners bringing an Estimated Economic Impact to the Baton Rouge area in excess of $25 million dollars annually.


USAPA Pickleball Tournament
The inaugural USAPA Mid-South Regional Pickleball Tournament took place at Exerfit Gymnasium June 5-7. This USAPA sanctioned regional pickleball tournament is the first of its kind in the country.

2009 Louisiana Governor's Games
The LA Governor's Games wrap up in June with the Tiger Aquatics Summer Classic, the ASA Bird Dedon Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament and Gumbo of Ballroom DanceSport Championships. To date in 2009, over 2,900 athletes have participated in Governor's Games events in the Baton Rouge area.
