On January 5, 2010, the Sports Foundation welcomed Kristen Chighizola to its staff. Kristen replaced Chris Lopiparo as the Coordinator of Outdoor Sports. The Kenner, Louisiana native is a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and Louisiana State University. Kristen also holds a Master of Education degree in Sports Management from the University of New Orleans.
Prior to joining the Sports Foundation, Kristen served as a Graduate Assistant with the Sports Information department at LSU. She also has previous experience with the LSU Athletic Facilities department and as a full-time intern for the Sun Belt Conference. In addition, Kristen has spent time as an intern for BREC and the New Orleans Zephyrs minor league baseball team.
