Past Events

Baton Rouge has hosted an array of large sporting events over the last 25 years. In 2002, "Team Baton Rouge" was established to be a central contact point for "large scale" activities and events in the city. This group makes communication between national governing bodies and integral parts of the city much more efficient and effective. Team Baton Rouge is comprised of the Mayor-President's Office, the Baton Rouge Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation, the Metro Council, Downtown Development District, and SMG/RiverCenter.
